mstrkrft

If you don’t know already, you better read up on these guys… MSTRKRFT, the famed DJ duo from Toronto consistently releases crunchy dance floor bangers that are universally used by practically every frickkkin DJ I know.

Whenever I really want a crowd to go banana pancakes I throw on one of these tracks, sit back and enjoy the mayhem.

These tracks are very poppy but will bring girls to the dance floor like a free Sephora giveaway:

I like to play these tracks at the beginning of my sets to warm the crowd up:

If you haven’t heard their remixes yet, I would say that you’re truly missing out. These guys tear apart every track they can get their hands on and leave you longing for more. From mainstream pop to indie rock, Lazrtag puts an edge on a track that’ll get you going bananas. Recent remixes include Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal and Digitalism’s Taken Away. Both tracks are guaranteed to leave your brain shaking and your ears bleeding.

Brinada is bringing these guys all the way in from LA on February 5th so if you have any common sense left in your partied out cranium you’ll get out there and turn that dance floor into a war zone. Brinada is stepping up their game on this one, and so should you. Check out these tracks and try not to hurt yourself.

Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal (LAZRtag Remix)

MIA - Paper Planes (LAZRtag Remix)

Digitalism - Taken Away (LAZRtag Remix)

Ting Tings - Shutup And Let Me Go (LAZRtag Remix)

Lindsay Lohan Sextape Fridays!

Umm this is probably the hottest shit since LA Gears! Brinada clothing has teamed up with HGHLY TGGBL to bring you the sweatiest, sexiest, most MC-Hammered-out weekly everrrrrrr! And yes, it’s called Lindsay Lohan Sextape Fridays. The name is the result of a mixture of 2 dollar chow mein, lack of sleep, and a crunkload of alcohol. So far we’ve had a great variety of guest djs including DJ Grandtheft (of Team Canada), A-Rock (Peer Pressure) and Mary Hell (Beat Me Up) and we have a bunch of super duper guest for the future so lookout!

On top of guests I hold it down with Girl Problems and every Friday at the Blue Dog Motel (3958 St. Lo), playing all the lazer-crunk jams you love and depend upon.

Here’s a quick mix I threw together to give you a sample of what goes down:

Kid Legit - Squeeze My Mixtape

To get on the guestlist (free entry) just RSVP on the face book and we’ll throw you on. Add yourself to this Facebook group to receive invites!

Here’s a some pics that Nightlife Magazine took when they came through for LLSTF…

A-Rock!!

A-Rock, hands down the best dressed DJ in Montreal, has been rocking some of Monteals most eager and bloodthirsty crowds since the founding days of Peer Pressure. Blending a diverse array of music styles under an electro context, his sets never fail to boost dance floor energy levels to critical points.

He can be found every Tuesday at Blizzarts (3956A St-Laurent) alongside his fellow promoter/girlfriend Shaydakiss. An experience you surely don’t want to miss while in Montreal.

Here’s a mixtape he did about a year ago. I like to throw it on when I’m running because the mix of Brazilian yelling, crunk choruses and crunchy bass lines gets me crazy pumped!

obama

Standing in front of millions and setting a new record for television viewers at 38 million Obama looked as poised as ever and delivered a speech worthy of his title. Beginning with a bipartisan note of thanks for Mr. Bush’s contributions to the U.S. Obama is pushing for unity in a trifled America. After the speech all I could really think was goddamn he is good. Whether conservative, gun totting or hater one cannot doubt the skills of Barack and the hope he brings to Americans and the World. So fuck what yo mama say… Obama way every day. In fact he’s already ordered Guantanamo closed. Furthermore, his Limo nicknamed “the beast” is an absurd stretch Cadillac able to withstand pretty much any attack short of a nuke so he’ll be rollin in style and stayin alive.

Other than one of the biggest historical moments of our life I found out that Busy P mentioned in an interview that Daft Punk has been working on a new album which is fucking awesome. In fact the interview was awhile ago so although Guy-Manuel and Thomas are taking their time and we might not hear any new tracks for awhile the news still got me in the mood for some robot rock, you too?

Daft Punk - Around the World (Villains More Cowbell Edit)

Daft Punk - Human After All (Justice Remix)
